ANNOUNCEMENT

For reasons beyond the control of the organization of the Salsa International Simposium of Madrid, the 9th edition of the Simpo 2011 is suspended.

The main reason is the lack of availability of La Riviera because of renovations. Those improvements will take approximately eight days. It has not been possible to start the works over Christmas because of the concerts calendar already scheduled for those dates. We have been forced to delay them till Easter which coincides with the Simpo dates.

We expected that some of the concerts would be cancelled and we could proceed with the renovations but it did not happen. Unfortunately there is not another suitable place in Madrid to carry the Simpo out and offer the attendees their expected quality during the event.

Therefore we have been forced to take the decision of cancelling the event this year and start working in the next edition for 2012, when we celebrate our 10th anniversary.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused and expect your loyalty for next year.
